About us

We have a competition barbeque team on the Kansas City BBQ Society circuit. The team started competing in 2006.Our name is Screamin Nite Hog BBQ. In four years, we have participated in 31 competitions and have achieved 63 top ten finishes. The biggest wins all came in 2008 with two NC State BBQ Championships including 2008 Grand Champion at the Bikes, Boogie & BBQ Competition in Gastonia, NC and 2008 Grand Champion at the Eastern Carolina BBQ Throwdown in Rocky Mount, NC. In the 2009 season the competition team finished in the top 100 out of over 4700 teams in the country in all categories as well as overall.
The actual rankings were Overall-63rd Brisket-45th Chicken-81st Pork-91st & Ribs-94th
Some of the highlights are 37 top ten calls in 13 competitions, two 1st place calls and a Reserve Grand Championship in Shelby, NC.
Our team was also invited to the American Royal BBQ Open, where over 400 teams compete. We had a 12 place call in brisket and 73rd overall at this event. Also our team was showcased on the PBS television network for BBQ Competition teams in NC.
